How it works

Download from the post
The extension adds a download button under every post — take the whole post as a ZIP, media only or text only. The icon turns green once finished and the state survives a page reload.

Choose the output format
Advanced settings switch between Markdown, JSON, HTML, plain text and CSV, and decide whether likes, replies, reposts and shares are captured alongside the content.

Take a whole page at once
Start a batch download from the extension panel; posts are packaged individually and the progress bar reports what has actually completed.

Current limitations
- Works only on the threads.net and threads.com domains; other social platforms are not supported.
- Chromium-based browsers only (Manifest V3); there is no Safari or Firefox build.
- The store listing is currently written in Traditional Chinese only, although the extension itself reads posts in both Chinese and English interfaces.
- It only handles posts visible to you on the page; it does not reach private content or anything requiring separate authorisation.
Threads Saver is a Chrome extension that packages the text, images and videos of Threads posts into files you can keep and reuse. Parsing and packaging happen locally in the browser; no content passes through a server. Downloading is free, the interface keeps a sponsor entry point, and a redemption code permanently hides the sponsor button on posts.
